I was born in 1989 and currently live in the Halabja province. I began my first career in journalism in 2017 as a reporter and photographer for the (Yall Iraq – Yall Kurdi) Foundation. Prior to that, I worked as a freelance photographer in various fields for over four years. Following my time at Yall Kurdi, I spent three years working on the (Nad Kurd) website and media. Furthermore, I have worked as a freelancer for numerous local and international agencies.

 

My aim is to serve and showcase the nature and beauty of Kurdistan, highlighting its culture, geography and the history of the region to the world. Through my work, I want to serve the environment, and my goal is to further develop the work of photography, particularly in the fields of documentary filmmaking and photo story so that I can serve my country in a professional way.

 

I have many documentaries in the field of nature and the environment, my works has been published in hundreds of channels and social media, I have participated in local and foreign agencies and in more than 50 exhibitions where my photographs have been chosen. Additionally, I have been honored with more than 20 awards in recognition of my services to the city of Halabja, as well as my achievements in photography and journalism.

 

Current Job: Photographer and journalist for the international magazine Kurdistan Chronicle.

 

Membership: An active member of the Kurdistan and Iraqi Photographers Association and a member of the Middle East Images Foundation in the United States.

 

Awards:

·      I was awarded first prize in the U.S. Consulate Photography Competition, organized in partnership with the Metrography Agency. The competition was held under the title 'Climate Change and Biodiversity Conservation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.'

·      I was awarded first prize by the Kurdistan Regional Government in the 'Kurdistan in Our Eyes' competition, organized by the Media and Information Department.

·      Winning first prize in the prestigious competition on cultural and historical monuments and tourist sites of Iran.

·      Winning second prize at the 2nd International Photography Festival, organized by the Seven Colors Center.  

·      I was one of the winners of the third prize (New Light) for 2024, which is awarded annually to individuals who have worked in the field of women's rights.
