Three reports have won the eighth season of the Human Rights Journalism
Competition.
A journalism competition for human rights was held in Kalar district
today, which was organized by Radio Deng with the support of the National
Endowment for Democracy (NED).
The Human Rights Journalism Competition has been running for eight years
and each year several journalists have won the competition for their
journalistic reports on human rights.
This year, 37 journalists submitted reports for the eighth season of the
competition, which was evaluated by an expert committee and three winners were
selected.
The results of the Human Rights Journalism Competition were announced on
Friday, December 15, and the first, second and third winners were awarded.
First Prize: Journalist (Diyar Jamal) from Kurdistan24, with his report:
The story of Mohammed from Kufri to Mansoura.
Second Prize: Journalist (Alan Najmadin) from Draw media website, with
his report: Tarmae Drone.
Third prize: Journalist (Amar Aziz) from Kirkuknaw website, for his
report: The story of the love that endured ISIS and nine years of separation.
